Our Process
Working with San Diego Aluminum is straightforward and stress-free. Here is what to expect:
Step 1: Free On-Site Estimate. One of our estimators visits your home, takes precise measurements, discusses your goals and preferences, and provides a detailed written quote. No pressure, no sales tactics, no surprises.
Step 2: Design and Engineering. Once you approve the quote, we finalize the design, complete structural engineering calculations, and prepare all documents needed for permitting.
Step 3: Permits and HOA Approval. We submit all required permit applications and HOA architectural review packages. You do not have to visit city hall or fill out any paperwork — we handle everything.
Step 4: Installation. Our experienced crew arrives on your scheduled installation day, protects your property, and completes the build — typically in one to two days for residential projects. When we leave, your property is cleaner than when we arrived.
Step 5: Final Inspection. We schedule the required city inspection and are present to ensure the installation passes on the first visit. You receive copies of all inspection records for your files.
Our Materials
We use exclusively commercial-grade aluminum in all of our installations. This material will never rust, rot, warp, peel, crack, or attract termites — period. The factory-applied powder coat finish is UV-resistant and maintains its color for decades without painting, staining, or sealing. The only maintenance your installation will ever need is an occasional rinse with a garden hose.
We source our materials from established manufacturers who have been producing aluminum patio cover systems for decades. Every panel, beam, post, and connection is specifically designed and rated for outdoor structural use in Southern California’s climate.
Lifetime Warranty
Every San Diego Aluminum installation comes with a lifetime material warranty. If any component of your cover fails due to manufacturing defects, we replace it at no cost. We also stand behind our workmanship — if any aspect of the installation does not meet our standards, we come back and make it right.
